Elafonissi (some people also call it Elafonissos or Elafonisi) is something like an island and a peninsula, because to reach the island you have to walk through the sea. It is located in the southwest end of the prefecture of Chania, Crete, about 70km from the city of Chania.
Paleochora or Palaiochora located 77 kilometers south of Chania in southwest Crete. The town of Paleochora is built on a long narrow peninsula that stretches into the Libyan Sea and offers among other things, a different beach every side: sandy beach in the west, pebble in the east. The Paleochora is an area of great charm, an area so gifted, reasonably called the Bride of the Libyan Sea or Bride of Western Crete.
Bali (the word "bali" means honey) is a village on the north coast of Crete, about 32 km. East of Rethymnon and 50 km. From Heraklion which has become a tourist resort. It belongs to the Municipality of Mylopotamos region Crete (Kallikratis program). From 1999 to 2010 according to the then-administrative division of Greece belonged to the municipality of Geropotamos coast. Formerly belonged to the prefecture of Rethymno. Venetians named Atali, from the ancient name was Astali. There is also the Monastery Atali nearby that keeps the medieval name of the place. It is built on an elevated small peninsula, so overlooks the bay and the sea. Formerly fishing village and today is an important tourist center with hotels and apartments. Bali has a harbor, nice taverns and sandy island.
